About This Publication ~ The Cascades Model Yacht Club was initially set up as an ad hoc organization under the event planning services of Westward Connections Inc. Three gentlemen at Eagle Crest Resort in Central Oregon wanted to sail their RC sailboats in Highland View Lake on the Ridge at Eagle Crest. They wanted to race them each weekend from late Spring through October, weather permitting, of course. Those gentlemen have since passed away or moved out of the area. In helping the fellas promote their passion, I was left with clean up. I am hoping to regenerate interest in activating club and racing on the lakes of Eagle Crest again in 2024.
